So poor Judi Ashworth, our senior negotiator at our Chew Magna office, has been in the wars...

Judi takes up the story: "So...the story is..... I was out walking my dog, Max, around the beautiful Litton Lakes. (pictured above).

"We both were really muddy and I was almost home, so decided to wash the mud off my walking boots, and also the dog, at the edge of the lake.  I climbed over a wall and walked down towards the water's edge but ended up sliding feet first into the water right up to my waist, and landing heavily on my right hand resulting in a very nasty break to my wrist.

"Will be in my festive red plaster for six weeks, I can’t drive I and live in a remote hamlet!! Simple things like getting dressed, doing my hair, make up, etc. are really difficult and take three times longer than normal.  I never realised how difficult it would be spread butter on toast, cut up food, I am definitely not ambidextrous!!  Discovered dictation on my iPhone for text and emails - brilliant!!  Max (pictured) was unharmed of course!

"Looking forward to January 5th when this is taken off."

All the staff wish Judi a speedy recovery..

All the offices in the award-winning Debbie Fortune Estate Agents group, based in Backwell, Chew Magna and Wrington Vale, are members of The Guild of Property Professionals.

As proud members of the Guild, we are able to offer associate and enhanced associate training schemes to our staff to help them build on their knowledge, and be the very best they can be in the industry! The majority of the staff within the branches, have at least passed the associate scheme, with many that have already moved on to pass the enhanced scheme, demonstrating excellent commitment by organising study groups out of working hours to achieve their results.

As well as offering training to agents, The Guild now audits all new members and existing members at random, to ensure they are providing excellent compliance standards. They also provide an in-house compliance officer to ensure the high standards of the Guild are consistently met. This commitment is underlined by the Guild along with its members, being approved by Trading Standards.

The Guild is not just about compliance though. Central to the service they provide is also a fantastic marketing package that provides enhanced exposure of your property through www.guildproperty.co.uk, regular E-Zines and beautifully prepared and printed Lifestyle magazines, personal to its members, showcasing their property portfolio.

They also provide a referral system between Guild agents, which means your property would be available to buyers registered with in the region of 800 member Guild agent offices up and down the country – further increasing the chance that your property will find its way to the right buyer!

So as a proud Guild member, Debbie Fortune Estate Agents can offer you enhanced marketing that is put in place by property professionals you can trust. If you would like to know more about the Guild of Property Professionals, please contact your nearest Debbie Fortune office.

We had a very busy evening at the Wrington Dickensian Fayre with crowds of people squeezing into our office to share mulled cider and mince pies, and chat with the staff most of whom were in Dickensian Fancy Dress, including Bert the Chimney Sweep and others...

There was a Christmas Market at The Plough, together with a pig roast, choir sincing and the lighting of the village's Christmas tree.

A good time was had by all... God Bless us one and all...

05Dec

Come and join us for mulled cider and mince pies at our Wrington office from 5.30pm on Friday 8th December. Alessio was the lucky winner of our Amazon Fire Tablet for correctly guessing the number of balloons contained in Guiseppe in our Guess the Balloons competition, at the highly successful Backwell School Christmas Fayre.

Alessio collected his prize from Joseph Down, Backwell's branch manager and is pictured his brother and sister. Alessio was thrilled to have won and proudly commented, "I now have one tablet for business and one for pleasure" - sounds like a company executive in the making!

Mrs Marston, seen here being presented with her prize by Joseph Down, manager of our Backwell office, was the lucky winner of the iPad donated by ourselves as the first prize of Backwell School Fayre held last month! She was over the moon with her prize and thanked us so much for providing such a great prize.

You too could be a winner of some great prizes by entering our Where's Reggie competition. Just go to our website and find the eight Christmas Reggies, download an entry form from the website, or email mikecoles@debbiefortune.co.uk, or call into one of our offices and pick up a form.

There was a very festive atmosphere in Chew Magna on Saturday, with the ‘Christmas Fayre’. Our office in the village played a pivotal part in the seasonal festivities. It became a focal point with the establishment of the nativity scene within the office. Director and branch manager, Joanna Tiley, judged the ‘Children’s Christmas Bauble Decorating’ competition and gave out the prizes. Lots of people joined in the festivities and witnessed the switching on of the Chew Magna Christmas lights.

We were pleased to be one of the sponsors of this inaugural event held on Sunday 3rd December, in which two of our staff members, George Worle and Neasha Date ran.

The season's festivities are well underway at Debbie Fortune Estate Agents, when we attended our first local Christmas Fayre at Backwell School at the weekend. It was lovely to meet so many people as it was extremely well attended and there were lots of stall holders supporting the event to raise money for the school. We sang Christmas carols and donated the first prize, an iPad, in the raffle. We also raised £60 on our stall by holding our popular 'Guess the Balloons' competition in our company car, Guiseppe ... watch this space for news of the winner of the Amazon Fire Tablet!

20Nov

Our Chew Magna office will be supporting the Chew Magna Christmas Fayre, which includes a Nativity Photo Booth located in our offices at South Parade.
