A positive outlook for the local housing market
Posted on 30th June 2021 at 14:50

What a wonderful six month’s it has been for our business and the housing market, all three of our sales offices have recorded record sales, with buyers taking advantage of the Stamp duty relief up to £500,000 which is now reduced to £250,000 until the end of September.
Another happy couple taking their next step on the property ladder!

This is Rocket, a friendly tortoise we met on our travels today..

In over 20 years he hasn’t felt the need to move home, he hasn’t giving his house a Kirsty and Phil makeover and he is not worried about taking advantage of the stamp duty holiday. High five to you, Rocket!
Debbie Fortune Estate Agents are delighted to announce our sponsorship of Cleeve Cricket Club.

We have had some lovely feedback this morning..

We have had some lovely feedback this morning, a lovely couple and their son who we met at one of our gorgeous cottages in North Widcombe, which they are moving into at the end of the month. They were really happy with all of Victoria’s help and prompt responses to any questions they had.
Debbie Fortune Estate agents are delighted to announce that we have reserved our final plot at the stunning West Town Mews in Backwell.

Constructed by well regarded local company, Ken Biggs Contractors this exceptional development of high quality individual homes was launched to the market on late Autumn 2020, at a very early point of the sites development. All plots have now been reserved to their lucky buyers, many of which have had the opportunity to tailor their homes to meet their own specific tastes and requirements. We can honestly say it has been our absolute pleasure to work alongside the developers, on what has been one of the most popular and highly sought after new homes sites in the region in recent times.
We just can’t ‘mask’ our delight!
Posted on 8th June 2021 at 17:02

With so many masks being disposed of since the beginning of the pandemic, it has been playing on our conscience, here at Debbie Fortune Estate Agents.

As it is not easily possible to recycle disposable masks in a carbon friendly and environmentally sustainable way, we are absolutely delighted to have had some branded, sustainable masks made for our staff which can be washed and used again and again.
Masks are an important part of our job right now and whilst they serve their purpose of ensuring the safety of our staff and clients, it does not mean we had to compromise on beauty.

Chew Valley Lakes, if you are a secret twitcher then there is no better place to visit than Chew Valley Lake! The fifth largest artificial lake in the country (yes it is actually a reservoir not lake) is home to visiting rare birds, including osprey, the scarcer grebes, and an American wader or duck appears most years. There is a visitors centre to enjoy, and future plans to connect the nature trail to one day be able to circumnavigate to whole lake. Michelin Star Award winning Chef Josh Eggleton has made the lakes a must visit destination for people who are fond of the old English Traditional of Fish and Chips by the waterside. Salt and Malt https://en-gb.facebook.com/SaltandMaltFishCafe/ has a covered restaurant for those less inclement weather days but equally you can sit and watch the setting sun on a picnic bench on those hazy summer evenings.
