Chew Valley School Year 8 pupil, Bluebell Powell, has won this year’s competition to design a technical T-shirt for the upcoming Chew Valley 10k and Virtual Chew Valley 10k on Sunday 12th September. 
 
Debbie Fortune Estate Agents will again be the main sponsor for this year’s much-loved event, now in it’s ninth year. Scott Higgins, Chew Magna’s Assistant Manager said, “Bluebell’s design is really striking – she should be very proud of herself. There are quite a few of our staff taking part in the Chew Valley 10k and Virtual event, some running and some walking and we are all looking forward to receiving this tshirt to reward our efforts!” 
 
This year’s scaled-down Chew Valley 10k on 12th September is sold out, but you can still join in the fun and support the beneficiary charities in the process by taking part in the Virtual Chew Valley 10k, which takes place from the afternoon of 12th September – 31st October 2021. Entrants can run, walk or plod on any route they choose and at a time of day to suit them – ideal if you want to do it with younger or older friends or family. All entrants will receive a bespoke event medal and the option of Bluebell’s 2021 event tshirt to wear with pride (adult sizes XS – XXL available.) Entries start from just £5 and include delivery. 
 
The 2021 Chew Valley 10k and Virtual Chew Valley 10k will help raise much-needed funds for Chew Valley School Society, Bishop Sutton School Society, Chew Valley-based NICU Support and the Lymphoma Research Trust (www.lymphoma-research-trust.org.uk), in memory of Bishop Sutton resident, Mr Mark Wookey.
