Blue skies and happy faces greeted over 150 classic and historic cars on recently for the Mendip Classic and Historic car tour 2016, which we were proud to sponsor once again.
A run through beautiful Mendip countryside of almost 100 miles proved a challenge to all including some cars over 100 years old!
As always the tour finishes on Wells Cathedral green and this year there was a record number of spectators and cars.
This year's nominated charity was the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Debbie said "We helped to raise over £900 for this amazing organisation which depends on the support of the local community to keep going. We all hope we will never need to use it, but some of us may...and it is so reassuring that our fund raising helps to ensure its continuation."
"The whole day was an amazing success, with some fabulous cars and many entrants dressing up to match their cars period and creating a mini Goodwood Revival on Wells Cathedral green."
Debbie is shown with the Mayor of Wells, Councillor Gordon Wilson, his wife Margaret, and Alana Skuse who won the award as Best Dressed Lady on the day.
