Lisa Baines Managing Director
Our Managing Director, Lisa works alongside, co-owner Neil and heads up our fabulous close-knit team across our three branches, both in sales and lettings. Lisa has a wealth of experience spanning 30 years since her career in estate agency began in 1991, starting as an office junior and working her way up through upper management and eventually directorship. Lisa says, “I simply love our industry and never take for granted that I get to live and work in one of the most attractive and desired regions in the UK. I also get to work alongside a knowledgeable team that naturally strive to exceed client expectations and nurture long term relationships. This is the reason that so many clients return to use our services time after time, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their ongoing support”. When Lisa is not working, she can be found attending much needed fund-raising sponsorship and community projects that Debbie Fortune Estate Agents support locally, cooking for her very large family, or walking her two cocker spaniels, Jarvis and Bonnie, on the beach, close to her home in Uphill.
Neil Drejer Director and Head of Sales
Co-owner Neil Drejer, joined the business in 2016, from Savills in Bath, where he was an Associate Director. In June 2021 he joined forces with Managing Director Lisa Baines to acquire the business from its founder Debbie Fortune, following the announcement of her much deserved retirement. Neil has gathered an extensive knowledge and understanding of the local and regional property market gained over his 20 plus years working as an estate agent. His experience ranges from selling compact studio apartments in the City to high net worth country homes. Neil oversees the sales teams throughout the company and predominantly bases himself out of our Congresbury Office. Outside of work Neil has a busy family life with his wife and two children and is an avid supporter of Bristol Bears rugby club.
Scott Higgins Branch Manager
Scott oversees the sales at the Chew Magna office. He has had 10 years experience in the industry and has sold every type of property you can think of. He has a very honest and practical approach while ensuring buyers and sellers are content.
Kathryn Reed Lettings Manager
Kathryn Reed, who originally joined us as an apprentice back in 2013, is a key and valued member of our team She has an amazing attention to detail which our clients love, which speaks for itself as the department has grown over 1,800% in the last five years. When Kathryn isn’t working, she enjoys fitness & spending time with her family. Kathryn also has a keen interest in interior design and renovation.
Kiera Morris Operations Manager
Kiera Morris is quite literally the glue that binds us all, her role as operations manager is varied and challenging and she is always the first to help and find a solution. She may be young in years but her experience and expertise are more than a match of someone has done the job for decades.
Joanna Pallant Move Manager
Joanna Pallant is one of our longest serving members of staff and part of the original team when Debbie Fortune opened for business in 2009. An extremely knowledgeable and organised individual she heads up our sales progression department dealing with after sales care, liaising closely with our clients, solicitors and surveyors up to the point of completion.
Judi Ashworth Senior Negotiator
Judi joined the team in 2014 and is currently one of our senior negotiators. Judi brings a wealth of business & sales skills to the team and has a brilliant work ethic too! When she isn’t at work Judi enjoys spending time by the sea, particularly in Cornwall.
Sharon Everett Senior Negotiator
Having worked in the Chew Valley and surrounding area for over 30 years, Sharon has worked with Debbie on various occasions over the years, firstly back in 1988 when she began her career in estate agency. As expected, Sharon has been involved with all sorts of property over the years and shows a particular keen interest in houses with some land, which is reflected in her interests as a small holder, horse rider and keen gardener.
Victoria Taylor Senior Lettings Negotiator
With over 25 years in customer service, Victoria’s positive, professional nature and her attention to customer delight makes her the perfect fit within Debbie Fortune Estate Agents Lettings team. In her spare time, Victoria loves spending time with her family and is a very keen equestrian.
Mia Castleton Senior Lettings Negotiator
Mia is our newest member of the Debbie Fortune Estate Agents Lettings Team. She has five years previous experience letting properties in the Bristol area, and is very excited to be part of the team! Mia enjoys walking her dogs in the Chew Valley countryside when she isn’t at work.
Todd Masters Negotiator
As former head boy at Priory School, he’s already proving to be the perfect fit within Debbie Fortune Estate Agents with his attention to detail and enthusiasm for customer delight. In his spare time, Todd can be found discovering the beauty of Cornwall on his bike. Interestingly, Todd is also training in paramotoring so you may see him taking aerial shots of all our properties at some point in the future.......
Kerrie-Anne Morris Negotiator
Kerrie-Anne has lived and worked in the Chew Valley most of her life. Kerrie-Anne has a passion for all things property related and has overseen several renovation projects herself in recent years. A friendly, personable and incredibly knowledgeable lady who we are incredibly lucky to have in our team.
Neasha Date Negotiator
Neasha began working for Debbie Fortune Estate Agents in 2018 but has a lot of experience having worked as an agent in Bristol too. Neasha has great sales ability and knows the Chew Valley area very well indeed! When not at work Neasha enjoys spending time with both her family and daughter.
Maureen James Sales Administrator
An ever present since the opening of our Backwell office in 2017, as a highly skilled administrator and secretary, she not only looks after the clerical side of the business, she also readily involves herself in every aspect of estate agency as well. A real team player.
Maisie Brunsdon Sales Adminstrator
Maisie is a former Backwell School pupil and knows the area very well and has joined the Congresbury team and since completed her level two customer service practitioner apprenticeship. She has already shown an incredible aptitude and desire to learn and has a bubbly and friendly nature, whilst being incredibly organised. We are sure all her attributes will stand her in good stead for a long and successful career in estate agency.
Wendy Stevens Negotiator
Combining her part time role with a successful career in hospitality, Wendy has exceptional experience in her field makes her a perfect go to person and problem solver. Highly organised and adaptable, her passion for property shows through in everything she does.
Julie Green Negotiator
Julie Green our negotiator is without question one of the most knowledgeable and reliable sources of information about the local area and what’s going on. A keen walker in her spare time, there is not a footpath or bridleway that Julie hasn’t walked and she is an expert at guiding you to the best local places to eat!
Paul Offley is our compliance officer and is based at The Guild of Property Professionals office in Park Lane, London.
