Property Description

Greycott is a single level family house that has been much improved and re-modelled by its current owners to create a smart, contemporary home making the most of its exceptional surroundings.

Situated in the highly desirable village of Burrington and accessed via a quiet country lane, the property is nestled into the hillside with nearby bridle paths leading up onto the Mendip Hills.

On entering the property, you are greeted by a light and airy entrance hallway featuring Oak flooring and providing access to both the living areas and bedrooms. The stylish dual aspect living room enjoys a wonderful aspect, where your eyes are drawn to bifold doors to the rear which frame the amazing far reaching view beyond. A lovely cast iron log burner adds a touch of extra warmth for the winter months. A door from the living room provides access to an inner hallway off which you will find a Fourth bedroom/office along with the chic family bathroom with a stylish white suite and travertine-marble flooring. In addition, there is a large cupboard with plumbing for a washing machine and space for a tumble-dryer above.

The kitchen/diner is another immensely welcoming room with beautiful views to the rear and plenty of space for the family to gather for breakfast, the smart matching wall and base units are complimented by a super 'Redfyre' electric range cooker with induction hob and double fan oven. There are also integrated appliances including a fridge freezer and dishwasher, granite worktops and travertine-marble flooring which continues through to the family room beyond.

The family room has separate access to both the front and rear and could equally be utilised as a child's playroom or home office, its also a incredibly handy place for the dog basket!

To the opposite end of the entrance hallway are the three further bedrooms, the master being of great size with plenty of space to create an en-suite if desired (plumbing an en-suite is feasible because all the necessary pipes run though the hallway cupboard). The two further bedrooms are excellent children's rooms and share use of a well¬-appointed modern shower room.

Throughout the property there is a wonderful sense of light and the beautiful neutral colour pallet makes the property both homely and simply ready to unpack and move into. A further added benefit is the recent installation of super-fast-fibre-optic broadband that has been hardwired to the property.

Outside, as well as benefiting from a plateaued lawned garden, the property also has a stunning paved terrace leading to a composite decked area which perfect for al-fresco dining and entertaining whilst enjoying the amazing views. Below the decked area are several plateaued areas of garden with mature planted borders and space for a trampoline. There is also a second separate fenced off area below the garage which features a terraced vegetable garden and is an ideal place for keeping a few chicken.

The detached double garage is fitted with a remotely operated garage door, custom fitted to allow the storage of a high roofed vehicle, which also has a large attic storage area over, with fixed steps and partially boarded floor. There is also ample parking to the front of the garage on a hardstanding area which could accommodate up to four vehicles.
