Property Description

Not for the faint of heart!
Have you dreamt of taking the bones of a fascinating older cottage into your hands, contorting, reworking and creating a masterpiece? Look no further than this fab detached cottage. A perfect opportunity for those with vision and knowledge. The current owner has brought their family up here for over fifty years, and is now ready to let the new owner make their mark. Currently comprising a very light hallway, with the original dining room to the left, which has the remnants of a pretty chimney behind its exterior wall. In the sitting room there is a wood burning stove and a door out to the rear garden. The kitchen is a good size already but for a modern dweller holds opportunities, there is an extension from here which was completed in the late 70's which is another very generous reception space with feature parquet flooring and windows overlooking part of the garden behind and out to the front.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, all of which have plenty of room for furniture and some even come with built in cupboards. The bathroom is spacious and working, but of course requiring some updating. Good news too the roof was completely replaced a few years ago. There is a combination Vaillant boiler which supplies gas central heating that has had a service and new pump fitted in the last couple of months, the property has mains drainage and loads of outbuilding areas for storage and a parking area. The outside is remarkable, to the left of the property and enclosed behind a stone wall is a relatively flat piece of lawn which has had previous outline planning for a separate dwelling. Whilst behind the property is tiered garden area which wraps up the hill. There are steps leading to a garden which just seems to go on and on, each step giving height that allows for superb views over the top of the cottage and over to the hillside beyond. The garden is mostly laid to lawn, whilst wild at present, being ripe with fecundity and flourishing greenery it could be a very lovely private space for children to grow or for vegetable plots to harvest. Cox's Cottage has a host of ideas and priced with opportunity in mind.
If you are up for a glorious challenge that could mean building your dream house then arrange a viewing today.
