Description

An elegant five bedroom detached village home, built to an exceptional standard in 2001, using only the finest local materials.

Set in a wonderfully discreet position behind a private walled garden, Denman House was constructed by a reputable local builder in 2001 to an exacting standard, built of handsome local stone elevations with a reclaimed clay tiled roof. To the front there is ample parking for a good number of vehicles on the pea gravelled driveway and access to a large integral garage. Access to the house is gained via an appealing thatched Oak porch which leads into an impressive and appealing entrance hallway, with stairs rising up to the first floor, and a useful ground floor cloakroom. Rich oak floors compliment the beautifully appointed interior décor and fabulous Farrow and Ball painted walls.

To the right of the entrance hall is a stunning and atmospheric triple aspect sitting room with a handsome sandstone fireplace, oak floor, and reclaimed timber beams which add some lovely old-world charm. French doors to the rear lead to the garden whilst stone mullion windows add further great character. To the opposite side of the hallway there is a separate formal dining room complete with a Victorian styled fireplace, beamed ceiling and continued oak flooring. There is also a third reception room to the rear of the hallway which is a perfect snug, T.V. room or indeed home office. The crowning glory of the house is the glorious farmhouse style kitchen complete with its gas fired Aga, beautifully crafted units, and chic stone flooring. A real social hub to the house it is a great space to entertain visiting guests whilst cooking up your gastronomic delights. Beyond the kitchen there is a well-equipped utility room with an internal door to the garden and external door to the garden.

On the first floor, arranged off a spacious galleried landing are the five beautifully appointed bedrooms, each unique, decorated in soft subtle tones with smart contemporary refinements. The master bedroom features built-in wardrobes, dressing room and a well-appointed en-suite bathroom, there is a second en-suite guest bedroom, whilst the three further bedrooms share use of a luxurious family bathroom.

Outside, to the front of the house is a pretty painted five bar gate leading to a pea gravelled driveway, accessing the garage and ample parking, whilst to the rear with footpath access to both sides of the house is a private and wonderfully established garden, which includes a neat level lawn, discreet dining patios, and colour packed borders, full of interesting shrubs and flowering plants.
