Have you ever wanted to just get away from the hustle and bustle, and just sit in the stillness of green?
The city can quickly unravel you, seemingly the buzz and blare of noise seems fun when you are able to get to the shops for a bottle of wine or stay up until the sun rises. But after a while doesn't the cityscape burn too brightly forcing you to think about changes, to slow down and refocus?
Appletree Cottage is surrounded by rural countryside, gloriously green with wildlife a plenty; this 13th century cottage spreads over somewhat 3400 square feet and is rich in character throughout. From the oak front door which is believed to have belonged to the church, the inglenook fireplace in the formal sitting room and the spectacular gallery stair case which seems to take centre stage. The property was extended in 2007 to offer further accommodation for a growing family, making Appletree Cottage flexible and multi functional.
The property consists of a sitting room, separate dining room, study, gorgeous kitchen which is fit for a food lover, breakfast room, conservatory and utility room downstairs. Whilst upstairs there are 5 bedrooms, all of which are double, 2 include their own ensuites, whilst the master has an absolutely stunning Victorian style bathroom complete with roll top bath. There is a fabulous family bathroom and a dressing room to the master bedroom which again could be used as a snug or for any necessary additional accommodation.
The property also benefits from an incredible self contained annexe which is ideal for a dependant relative, an "air b and b" style guest or just if you are feeling like generous parents to your youngster so that they might be able to save some money for when it's their turn to get on the ladder.
Outside there are superb views over fields, a generous garden which is mainly laid to lawn and perfect for some BBQ's in the sunshine. In addition to this is a double garage, loads of parking, double glazing and loads of potential for the lifestyle that you have been craving. Stop just dreaming it, make it your reality. EPC rating F.
The hamlet of Hewish in North Somerset lies between the village of Congresbury and the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. Close by is the local pub The Full Quart, plus an Indian restaurant and primary school. There is a regular bus service to and from Bristol and Weston, with a bus stop just over the road. Both towns are easily commutable for work, and Weston-super-Mare has an excellent range of shops, social and recreational facilities, including a mainline railway station. The M5 motorway is literally just a few minutes' drive away, giving access to the national motorway network to the north and south. Bristol International Airport is also a short drive away, with both major airline and low cost carriers operating from there. The area around is well known for its beauty, with country activities including walking, sailing, fishing, horse-riding, dry ski-ing and sports facilities, all within easy reach.
From our office in Congresbury, head onto the A370 towards Weston-super-Mare, turn left onto Puxton lane and follow the road around, over a small bridge; Appletree Cottage can be found on the left hand side.
